Reflected in the practitioner level qualification of PM4SD (Project Management for Sustainable Development) that we hold, Touch TD can evaluate broader systems, project outcomes, and assess whether objectives have been met. We can also offer suggestions for improvements and development for a project or programme.

In West Bengal, India, we worked to support the development of a village tourism product based on traditional arts and intangible cultural heritage trails.

We coordinated the research and preparation of tourism trails, linking tangible, intangible and natural heritage assets, and used participative methods to draw village communities into the planning and management of their own low-impact tourism – including rural micro enterprises.

We led the Mediterranean Voices project, a major Euromed Heritage initiative spanning 14 Mediterranean cities. The aim was to create a multimedia database of the intangible heritage of the Mediterranean’s changing urban spaces, leading to collaborative links and sustainable tourism ventures across the network of cities. We were responsible for the design, co-ordination and implementation of the research and outputs of this substantial project.
